HBCU Prospects	Through application and acceptance, students will attend workshops, college visits, and participate in mentorship activities to ensure acceptance into Historically Black Colleges and Universities. National Honor Society (NHS)	The purpose of the National Honor Society is to elevate students' and schools' academics, leadership, and community engagement. Spanish Honor Society	The mission of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is to recognize high school achievement in Spanish and Portuguese and to promote interest in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian studies. The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH) is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish and Portuguese and is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP). The purpose of the society is to recognize high achievement of high school students in the Spanish and Portuguese languages and to promote a continuing interest in Hispanic and Portuguese studies. Student Council	Student Council represents the student body in interactions with the community and administration. Additionally, we represent and work with our student body in planning community building events and activities. As we work to engage with others, we also work to build up our own leadership skills. The purpose of the Freshman Class Sponsor Group is to provide members of the freshman class an opportunity to plan fun and meaningful events for themselves and for their fellow freshman peers.
This group also serves as a creative outlet for freshman who are full of great ideas they'd like to see happening at LCPA.
